Size 14 model Ella Halikas is making a bold impact in an industry often criticized for its beauty standards and lack of diversity. Her daring and thought-provoking photoshoot challenges traditional notions of lingerie modeling, sparking a fashion scene stir.
Ella Halikas and photographer Henry Jimenez Kerbox created an impactful photoshoot channeling Victoria’s Secret Angel.
She bravely flaunts her size 14 body in lingerie, emulating Victoria’s iconic twist.
The photo shoot went beyond empowering Halikas; it deeply resonated with many, evoking emotions and gratitude from underrepresented individuals. It serves as a healing moment, boldly challenging the fashion industry’s inclusivity issues.
Pursuing her dreams of becoming a full-time model, Ella Halikas took a bold step and relocated to Los Angeles.
In May 2020, fueled by unwavering self-confidence, she began a transformative journey. Against all odds, within just a year, Halikas achieved the unthinkable – becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model. Additionally, she stands out as a powerful advocate for body positivity.
She said: “I wasn’t always confident, I was a lot smaller.” During her high school junior year, Halikas noticed her body embracing beautiful curves, a transformation that continued through college, leading to a 20-pound weight gain. This marked a significant chapter, and she now confidently celebrates her curvier physique.
She believes true well-being surpasses size or shape, extending beyond mere attention or validation.
Regarding her recent activism effort, the model said: “It’s simply to show that you can be healthy and happy in size 14, living and existing in a bigger body while still being extremely confident.”
Yet, her aspiration reaches beyond personal success; she dreams of walking the renowned Victoria’s Secret runway, a pride symbol for curvy women worldwide, aiming to ignite substantial strides in size inclusivity.
